💧 Liquid Spills

Many liquid spills remain on the outside of the carpet fibers for a short time.

Gently place a clean, absorbent towel over the spill and allow the towel to draw the liquid out naturally.

The magic word is blot. Avoid rubbing. Aggressive rubbing can permanently distort carpet fibers.

For carpet, it's generally safe to rinse with a small amount of clean water and blot dry.

Important: Never use water on upholstery unless the furniture's cleaning code specifically says water is safe (W or SW).

🥣 Semi-Liquid Spills

Foods such as sauces, yogurt, or ice cream should be gently scooped up first.

Remove as much material as possible without forcing it deeper into the carpet.

Then blot carefully and rinse with clean water when appropriate.

🧹 Dry Spills

Carefully scoop or vacuum up as much material as possible.

Avoid grinding the material deeper into the fibers while cleaning.
